The end of the month is near and that means if you haven't printed any of the coupons you want, now is the time!  A lot of coupons tend to disappear each month to be replaced by new ones.  And, you can print coupons directly from my site now too!  Just click on the ad for coupons.com in the right hand column.  And don't forget to go back and print twice!

Wow!  We are expecting four coupon inserts in this week's newspapers - 2 Red Plum a Smart Source and a P&G!  Great week for us couponers!  Better start sharpening your scissors!  You can go HERE to see a preview of what coupons might be in there.  Note that some coupons are often regional and you may not get every one of these coupons or the values may vary.  If you see a lot of coupons for items you'd like to stock up on, be sure to buy a few papers.  I will probably be getting at least 3-4 this week.  The money I spend on these will be much less than all of the savings I will be getting from them!  If you don't get the coupons you want, you can always try a coupon clipping service like My Coupon Hunter or The Coupon Clippers or you can check on Ebay.  One of my local papers no longer carries the Red Plum inserts, and if you live in one of those areas, you can sign up to try to get a Red Plum insert by mail HERE.

What's in your mailbox?

Here is what has come in my mail lately... as in the past four mail days!

And all of it was FREE!  

For those of you who have just started requesting freebies, let this be encouragement to you that it will come.  Some things take 4-6 weeks or more to come and when they do come, sometimes it's been so long ago you forgot you even signed up for it.  But, really, that just makes it even more fun to find in your mailbox... It's like Christmas all the time!  Some of you may be thinking, "Its just a little sample, not worth my time."  It may not be for some of you, but for me, its just another way to save my family money.  A lot of samples come with coupons and the samples themselves are just as good as the regular size to use at home, in your purse, on a trip or wherever.  In my opinion, that is worth the few seconds of my time to fill out my mailing info. 

A few suggestions when signing up for freebies:

*If you honestly would have no use for it or know no one else who would, don't sign up for it.  Companies only have a limited amount to giveaway and it would be a shame to take it away from someone who is actually interested.

*Create a separate email account.  Sometimes companies will put you on their mailing lists or send you junk emails, so it helps to have a separate account so it isn't clogging up your personal email.  There are a lot of free email companies out there now, so its pretty easy to do.

*Some people suggest getting some form of program to help you auto-fill your signups (www.roboform.com, etc...)  My anti-virus program actually has a feature that does it for me, so I haven't personally tried other programs myself, but I do hear good things.  In my experience with what I have, it is SO nice not to have to type your name and address over and over, but maybe I'm just being lazy because I'm used to it.  :)

These offers are typically for business people, but in this one, there is even an option for homemaker as a job function.  I actually did this exact one a little while ago and received my first issue this week.   You should receive yours in about 6-8 weeks.

Save big with rebates!

Do you ever wonder how couponers get things for free just using coupons?  Well, sometimes that is possible. 

For example, right now at Meijer, they have Bestlife buttery spread on sale for $.99 and there is a coupon available for $1.00 off HERE and also in 5/16 RP and 7/11 RP.  So I took in all the coupons I could find with me, bought 5 small tubs of butter, and even gave a few coupons to others standing there.  FREE butter for a while - so glad to have an extra fridge in the garage to help me store some of these great deals and save me money!

But if you just have a small coupon, how do you get bigger things for free?  The secret?  Rebates!  Even if you have been someone who used the occasional coupon here or there, I'm guessing that rebates at almost no point crossed your mind when making purchases.  Here is an example of how I have lately collected quite a bit of personal care items for my stockpile for FREE or at least very close to it.  Now I didn't do this exact example, because I already had plenty of Olay Body Wash from other transactions before I found this rebate, but maybe this is something you can try?

Target has the smaller bottles of Olay Total Effects Body Wash for only $4.79 and there are $4 coupons available in the 6/6 PG.  Here is how it works:
 

•Buy seven (7) small bottles = $33.53
•Use seven (7) coupons (-$28.00) and then submit for the $10 rebate for buying $30 in qualifying products
•Final Cost = Only $5.53 OOP (out of pocket) = FREE + $4.47 Money Maker!
